About Us

 Harbour Launch Services Limited (HLS) was founded in 2004. The Company is 100% Bahamian-owned and operated by Captain Kyle L. Smith. HLS currently does contractual work for many agencies like Seaport Agency, Tamaco Maritime, MSC Shipping and Freeport Ship Services. We also provide launch services to Grand Bahama Shipyard, Freeport Container Port, and numerous oil tankers and container ships that serve off Port. HLS boasts of operating as a safety-first organization. We have operated 4,380 days without any safety incidents. Our fleet includes a 50ft Ex-Navy Work Boat. Two 40ft Louisiana-built crew boats and one 110ft Utility vessel were also purchased over the years. These vessels serve as the primary source of transporting crew, spares, stores, fresh water and garbage to and from oil tankers offshore, as well as the transport of materials used to facilitate repair of the Buckeye Bahamas Jetty. The company also has under its vessel fleet a 21ft aluminum skiff (Jon Boat), which assists mainly with oil spill containment
operations. In addition to the array of launch boats and barges, HLS also owns a Sterling 16-ton crane truck and a Chevy box truck. Our thirteen years of operation have truly been vital and have positioned us to take on additional and challenging opportunities. Building on existing relationships and continuing to develop new ones, has given us a competitive edge and allowed us to maintain our market share in this industry.
